Shea's first LAKERS game

My son is officially obsessed with basketball now. We thought that he would have fun at the game, but he absolutely LOVED it!!! He was such a good boy and was cheering "Go Lakers" with his daddy (to the utter disgust of the Jazz fans behind us.) He LOVED the blimp that they fly around and the big balls they tossed around the crowd, the Jazz bear was a HUGE hit, the noise, the music, the lights, and the "boys" playing basketball WOW!! He's been asking to "watch baketball" all day today!! :-)

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences. What a joy. I get to arrive at school at 7am and teach all my classes, (shortened to the point of serious stress that I can't possibly accomplish what I've planned in that amount of time), have a 20 minute lunch break (the only high point of the two days as they feed us sandwiches from Walmart), then sit and listen to parents complain for 6 1/2 straight hours about why I shouldn't have taken the I-Pod or cell phone away from their child. Then I get to come back and do it all again the next day. Thank goodness for Saturdays when all I have to do is clean the entire house, grocery shop, make jewelry, run errands, clip coupons, organize that messy closet, pay bills........................

LIFE IS SO BUSY

The great computer crash of 2007

On Sunday morning as Chris was reading the Priesthood lesson on his (new) MAC it froze up, wouldn't start and when he tried to start it, it made an ugly clicking noise. Apple told us that that was not a good sound and probably signaled a fried hard drive. Well, after taking it to the doctor on Monday we found out that yes, it was a mysterious mechanical error and that EVERYTHING on his computer is gone forever. Anyone reading this, please take a few minutes to back up the important stuff!!!! We had almost nothing backed up and when you think about everything we keep on our computers now days, it's devastating. Especially the loss of his DISSERTATION!!!! Needless to say, we now have a very nice, expensive (but WORTH IT!) external hard drive, where everything we do is backed up.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!

We had a wonderful day. I got the best surprise EVER!! I was teaching my second period class when the classroom door opens and little Shea walks in carrying a single red rose and a special "balentine" for mommy. Then his daddy follows him into the room with a HUGE vase with a dozen georgous red roses. Happy Valentines Day Jenna!!! That afternoon Courntey was able to babysit and Chris and I got to go to dinner together at the Happy Sumo. OH MY HECK! It was unbelievably delicious. Our new favorite restaurant BY FAR!! And then we saw Night at the Museum, which was very cute. It was the nicest day.

Go Wonderpets!!!

Shea has so far shown very little interest in television. He has however, seemed to enjoy a little Nick Jr. show called THE WONDERPETS. Recently he decided that he loves The Wonderpets. He would watch 3 hours of back-to-back episodes if we'd let him. This morning Chris emailed me to say that early this morning after I left, Shea screamed out, "GO WONDERPETS!" IN HIS SLEEP!!! That's dedication to your TV show if I've ever seen it! :-)
