My beautiful grandma and my beautiful daughter.

Painting animal crackers

I had to come up with a craft for my zoo lesson at preschool a few weeks ago. Who doesn't want a craft you can eat? So we painted animal crackers. The kids had fun and enjoyed eating their creations. Shea liked it so much that he did them all afternoon at home. The "paint?" Corn syrup and food coloring. Have fun!!

LA Times Festival of Books

I decided that wild horses couldn't keep me and the munchkins away from a book festival this big. A festival of books?! Shea couldn't believe a thing existed, he was so excited. -Although, afterward he said it was much less fun than he thought it would be- Something I DID NOT want to hear after I fought my way through that many people (at least a million!) for over 2 hours.
We did have fun though - we saw three of our favorite authors/illustrators and caught the last 1/2 hour of a Playhouse Disney fav:
Choo Choo Soul!

The illustrator of the Fancy Nancys

Anna Dewdney - the author/illustrator of all the Llama Llama books -we love those!!!

And Eric Carle!!
(Did you know the Very Hungry Caterpillar is celebrating it's 40th anniversary this year, and that one of them is sold every 30 seconds somewhere in the world? Crazy!)

He had the kids call out animals to him as he drew a crazy mixed up animal. It was awesome! He is a legend and it was so cool to see him and hear him read!

We'll definitely go back next year. Who's coming with?! :-)

Big girl jammies

I LOVE babies in jammies! They are so soft, so cozy, so warm. Usually drowsy and sweet. Ooh, so so cuddly and the smell! They either just got out of the bath or just woke up and either way - I could just eat them up! As much as I love those fuzzy, footsie jammies, it is so adorable the first time they get to wear the two piece big kid jammies. I can't believe we're there already!!!!!

Easter 09

Easter egg hunt:
Us and all our peeps.
They really don't look thrilled, but I promise, they had a blast.

Dyeing eggs:
This was a big hit this year. The eggs with legs dye kit was adorable! Shea had a hard time eating his buggy friends. Grab it next year if you see it.

Finding Easter baskets:
Is 1 too early for a princess crown? Definitely not! She decided after she thought about it, that she liked it!

I am a major fan!

A major, major, major fan of GROCERY DELIVERY!
I just did it today for the first time ever. I won't be able to do this much, as I can't use my coupons with delivery, but I wanted to try it once (especially since the first time delivery is FREE!)
Honestly, I'm not sure I've ever done anything as cool as this. I picked out my groceries online and then someone brought them right to my door and put them on my kitchen table! I didn't have to lug two kids to the store, find it all while fighting with two kids, unload it and them, drag it and them up to the second floor and then put it all away. I'm exhausted thinking about how much effort getting groceries is and this. was. awesome!! Seriously, amazing. Anyone who's never tried it. You MUST!

New look, walking and bored!

Check out our new blog look. I loved, loved, loved the custom blog that Megan made me last year, but I don't know about you, but I can only take the same look for so long, Check out the cute new springy free template I found. Not only was it free, but I did it myself (i.e. super, duper simple!!)

Clare is 100% walking now. Walking as a fun novelty is over and now it's a mode of transportation. It thrills me to see this adorable little piggy-tailed beauty tottering around our house. She thinks its cool too, see...
And we had to post photos of my most recent infomercial acquisition. (Yes, I am a s.u.c.k.e.r for As Seen On TV. And just so you know - Sham Wows = wow! Space Bags = suck! Under the bed shoe storage = blah. Light up personal trimmer = can't live without it)
And Benderoos. Love love love love love 'em! They'll keep a poor super bored 4 year old who's sister was quarantined to the house occupied for hours! We made a whole spider family and to keep them company a snake family too! Get 'em here moms. Two sets for $20! Endless entertainment possibilities.

Happy General Conference!!
