Dinner with Friends

I had SOOO SOOOO SOOOO much fun this night. I should have posted this ages ago, but the move was long and ugly (post coming soon.) I am so grateful to good friends. I love you girls!!!! Hilary, Wendy, Megan and I were able to sneak away for Girls Night Out the Wednesday before we moved. We had so much fun. I laughed more that night... I wish we had done this more, it was so much fun to be out, telling stories, eating yummy food and just being "the girls", not "the mommies" for a few hours. I'll miss you guys!!! Love you!

SOLD, Slacker Mom & FHE packets

Wahoo,
We have officially sold our house. We will close next Friday. We're so happy. We got a little less than we wanted and thought we could get, but we're still really happy because it's done and we'll have a check in our hands when we move, so we can get started in Cali. Wahoo. What a blessing.

On a more embarassing note, yesterday was my offical "I'm a Slacker Mom" day. Neither Shea nor I got out of our pajamas AT ALL! I'd been working so hard on FHE packets and working things out with the move this week that I was just tired of doing stuff!! So we didn't brush our teeth (ewww!) or comb our hair or anything. I read Eclipse all day and Shea just played and played and played. I am happy to announce that today we were both showered, dressed and ready for the day by 8:30 am though so maybe I've redeemed myself a bit. :-)

Speaking of FHE packets. WOW!!! I think that they turned out even better this time than they did last time. I absolutely LOVE my packet this time and can't wait to break out these new ones - they look so awesome. This time our group did Scripture Story packets. So we have packets on Noah, Abinadi, Captain Moroni, Daniel and the Lions Den, the Christmas Story, the Resurrection, the Good Samaritan, Nephi and the Broken Bow etc. Julie, Amber and April, I did make you guys a Noah packet (as requested! :-) I'm sending those out today, so call me when you get them and we'll chat about getting your own groups started.

Shea's solution

So a few minutes ago we were all sitting here watching My Friends Tigger and Pooh and Shea had a big stinky poop. So daddy changed him and a few minutes later, another big stinky poop. So daddy changed him again, and sure enough, a few minutes later, more stinkies. So, we said, Geez Shea, are you stinky again? How many poops are you going to have?? Well, Shea, my little thinker grabbed the TV remote, pointed it at his bum and said, "I'm going to turn off my bummy."
:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

"You're a dork!"

So Shea had Chris and I absolutely in hysterics the other day. We were all sitting in the living room chatting and playing and I was teasing Shea. I was calling him a silly goose and he would say I'm not a silly goose and we were both giggling. So at one point I said "Who's my silly goose? You're my silly goose!" and he crouches down and gets his little pointer finger ready and points it at me and goes, "you're a dork!" Chris and I both looked at him and then just burst out laughing. Apparently that's something we say around here. It was so funny coming from him. And of course, Chris was tickled, I believe his exact words were "Out of the mouths of babes." :-)

Oh, and night 5 of the big boy bed has come and gone and SHEA HAS NOT GOTTEN OUT ONCE!!!!! He sleeps ALL NIGHT with no crying, no whining, no "Mommy I want to go in your bed," nothing! It's the big boy bed miracle!
